Population Change
In 1866, the population of Lagos was 25,083 people. A century later, the population grew to 267,083 people. After WW2 and by 2000, the population has reached 13 million.
The UN estimated that the population would grow to 20 million by 2010. The Nigerian government estimates the population to be at 21 million. The population grows by nine people every 10 minutes.
